Sitlington 2–3 Wyke Wanderers

A fantastic effort from the players today in a game that really could have gone either way.

Sitlington found themselves 2–0 down at half-time, facing a difficult task after a challenging first half. However, the team showed great character and determination to keep battling and turn the game around after the break.

The second half saw Sitlington come out with a completely different energy and belief. Billy got his name on the scoresheet before Teddy added another, giving the team the momentum and belief that a comeback was possible.
At 2.2, it was Wyke that would go on to get the winner .

The lads continued to work hard right until the final whistle and pushed Wyke all the way. Despite the result, it was a performance full of commitment, determination and teamwork.

Frank was deservedly named Player of the Match for an excellent individual performance and his contribution to the team dominating the midfield.

Although we were ultimately very unlucky not to get anything from the game, the effort shown by everyone was outstanding. Coming back from 2–0 down and continuing to fight until the end shows the character within this team.

Lots of positives to take from the game and plenty for the lads to be proud of.
