Perfect morning for grassroots football! ⚽☀️

A very even game between two well-matched teams. First half ended deadlocked, largely thanks to the West Bretton keeper who made save after save to keep things all square.

In the second half, West Bretton took the lead from a fast counter attack and almost doubled it moments later, but Alfie pulled off an unbelievable save to keep us in it. George was then played through with just a few defenders to beat, rounded them and calmly slotted into the bottom corner to level things up. Rory nearly added a second but was denied by another excellent save from their keeper. West Bretton hit the post from another quick counter, but the game finished all square.

Alfie - another great game in goal.
Jack, Harris and Jake - solid in defence, worked hard to be first to the ball and making tackles or interceptions.
Archie, Rory, Maxton, Ewan and Charlie - combative in a hard midfield battle, but able to control the ball and find the right pass.
George - skilful and assured in front of goal.

Coaches POTM went to Charlie and Parents voted Alfie as their POTM.

Best performance of the season in a really competitive match - lots of energy, desire, hard work and skill. Well done all! ?
