A patched-up Sharks side battled hard against a tough Hebden Bridge team.

The Sharks made the perfect start, taking the lead inside 30 seconds when Rory delivered an excellent cross and Dylan finished superbly.

On a difficult, bobbly pitch it was hard for the Sharks to play their usual passing game, while Hebden Bridge's no-nonsense defending and excellent goalkeeper kept the game tight throughout.

After Hebden Bridge levelled, the Sharks regained the lead when another dangerous ball from Rory was deflected towards goal and Eben was on hand to turn it in from close range.

Hebden Bridge responded again, scoring from a corner after a direct attack, with a well-taken volley.

The Sharks pushed hard for a winner and created several good chances but couldn't quite find the finishing touch. While the performance was a little rushed at times, the work rate and attitude were excellent so plenty of positives to build on in training.

Player of the Match: Rory D - solid defensively alongside TJ and a constant threat going forward, creating chances and driving the team on throughout.
