What a performance from the boys, who put on a real attacking show with some fantastic goals, great determination and excellent teamwork from start to finish!
Myles got things going by following in on his own shot and reacting quickest to the rebound to tap into an open goal. He was at it again soon after, pouncing on another loose ball and calmly slotting it into the net. His sharp reactions and instinct in front of goal were causing all sorts of problems for the opposition!
Silas then produced a superb finish, smashing the ball into the bottom corner with real power and precision. He was in the goals again later, showing lovely control before calmly passing the ball into the corner of the net. Two excellent finishes!
Chase was next to get in on the action, breaking through the opposition defence before producing a lovely strike to find the net. He also showed great determination when Logan’s initial shot was saved by the goalkeeper, staying alert to follow up and get the ball over the line.
Logan’s persistence paid off too, as he kept battling away after some brilliant midfield play from Rory, that set Logan on his way down the wing and saw his effort find the net via a deflection off a defender. He wasn’t finished there, though! One of the goals of the game came from a fantastic team move, with Myles finding Theodore, who played it through to Cole before the ball was worked on to Logan to finish off brilliantly. A wonderful example of the boys linking up and creating chances together!
A special mention to the opposition, who played the entire second half with an extra player. That made the challenge even tougher, but the boys continued to work hard, show determination and produce some excellent football. They should be proud of how they approached the game and kept playing as a team.
? Player of the Match: Cole
Congratulations to Cole on a fantastic performance! He made a great contribution to the team’s efforts and thoroughly deserved the recognition.
Overall, a brilliant team display full of goals, hard work, persistence and quality finishing. There were some lovely individual moments, but the team goal was a particular highlight and showed just what the boys can do when they play together.
