Another fantastic battling performance from the Sharks, full of determination, commitment and teamwork.

The Sharks worked incredibly hard both in and out of possession, defending brilliantly while also creating plenty of opportunities going forward.

The first goal came after great battling from George Foster and Jacob in midfield. The ball broke to Harvey, who showed brilliant skill to escape his marker before firing an excellent finish into the corner.

After Gildersome equalised, the Sharks responded superbly. Edie won the ball brilliantly in defence and found George Goddard, who drove forward from midfield, held off the defenders and produced a composed finish into the bottom corner.

The goalkeepers were also outstanding. Austin, playing his final game for the Sharks, produced some excellent first-half saves and linked play well from the back. Edie and George Foster shared the gloves in the second half, with both making fantastic saves.

The second half was an entertaining end-to-end contest. The Sharks defended strongly, continued creating chances and were unlucky not to add further goals.

Most importantly, the game was played in a fantastic spirit and showed again just how much this team is developing, growing in confidence and working together.

Players of the Match:

George Foster – Produced his best performance of the season so far. Worked tirelessly, battled for every ball and won more than his fair share. Rock solid defensively while also providing a real threat going forward. A fantastic all-round display.

Austin - A brilliant performance in his final game for the Sharks. Outstanding in goal during the first half, making several excellent saves and using the ball intelligently to get the team moving forward.

In the second half, Austin brought the same energy into midfield and attack, tackling strongly, competing for everything and coming agonisingly close to marking his final appearance with a goal.

Good luck at your new club, Austin. Thanks for everything and you’ll be missed by all the Sharks!
